Our Mission Our Approach We Provide Students With Academics We provide students with an advanced education in materials science and engineering and prepare them for long and successful professional and/or research careers in industry, government or academia. Faculty Our faculty is committed continuing to make large strides in the research areas of electronic materials, semiconductor processors and flexible electronics to impact the world. Facilities Our department is housed in the Natural Science and Engineering Research Laboratory, which rivals museums in its aesthetics and leading universities and industry labs whose state-of-the-art equipment enhances research capabilities. Research Focusing on nanoscale materials and phenomena, our research is at the cutting edge of nanoelectronics, photovoltaics, batteries and supercapacitors, atomically precise manufacturing, nanosize coatings and materials for biomedical applications.
